In 2020, a group of passionate professionals came together to create Professionals for Charity Initiative (PCI) - a non-profit organization committed to providing funding support to intelligent students facing financial difficulties. Our mission is to enable academically gifted children in public schools in Nigeria to pursue their dreams, even in the face of economic hardship.
At PCI, we believe that education is the key to unlocking the potential of Nigeria’s future leaders, innovators, and change-makers. Through monthly voluntary contributions and sponsorships from generous individuals like you, we are giving high-performing students the opportunity to achieve their goals and contribute to the greater society.
We invite you to partner with us as we work toward building a brighter future, one student at a time.

Empowering Potential: PCI’s Inaugural Outreach
On January 23, 2026, the Professionals for Charity Initiative (PCI) successfully carried out its first outreach, supporting 25 outstanding but indigent students across Aiyetoro Senior Grammar School and Herbert Macaulay Junior High School. Through a merit-based selection process conducted in collaboration with school authorities, beneficiaries received essential educational materials, including uniforms, school supplies, textbooks, and JAMB registration support for senior students. This inaugural effort reflects PCI’s commitment to enabling academic excellence and expanding access to opportunity through collective, impact-driven giving.
HOW WE WORK
At PCI, our approach is simple but impactful. We identify high-achieving students in public schools who are struggling to fund their education. Through outreach programs, we distribute education relief forms to schools, ensuring that students who need our help know how to reach us.
Our selection process is thorough and designed to ensure fairness. We review each applicant’s academic history and financial background before providing support. The successful candidates receive full sponsorship through their tertiary education, enabling them to continue their academic journey without financial stress.
We believe that by removing the financial barriers to education, we are giving these students the chance to become the future leaders our country needs.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
To qualify for PCI sponsorship, students must meet the following criteria:
• Be a citizen of Nigeria
• Be enrolled in a public high school
• Demonstrate financial hardship (via parents' place of work, bank statements, etc.
• Show consistent academic excellence
• Not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship or free education program
We seek out students with not only a proven track record of academic success but also the drive to continue excelling despite difficult circumstances. Our rigorous eligibility checks ensure that every recipient of PCI sponsorship is truly in need and fully deserving.
HOW TO APPLY
If you or someone you know meets our eligibility criteria, applying for PCI sponsorship is easy. Here's the process:
• The student must write an application letter in their own handwriting.
• Submit parents’ bank statements from the past 6 months.
• Provide all required documents, including birth certificate, NIN, passport photos, school report cards, and a signed consent form from the parents.
• Our committee carefully reviews every application, and we contact successful candidates to inform them of their sponsorship status. With our support, these students can focus on their education and future.
